"Batool and Imaan"
|
I took this shot in AUB after the Easter recital of Requiem in Assembly Hall. The contrast of the traditional Islamic style of dress of Batool (left) and the more westernized Imaan (right) struck me. Both girls are muslim from "Sour" (Tyre), South Lebanon. The photo illustrates the mix of culture and tradition in Lebanon. * In Arabic, Batool means "virgin" and Imaan means "Faith".
